After nearly 20 years in mining, including 8 underground, Nathan Vilciauskas saw the limitations of traditional timber supports first-hand. During recovery from an injury, he began rethinking safer, smarter alternatives. A conversation with a mate about a biodegradable option sparked the idea that became BlickBlock.
Through research and collaboration with engineers and material suppliers, Nathan helped develop a high-strength polymer solution that combines exceptional load-bearing capacity, lightweight handling, and precise moulded tolerances. BlickBlock now offers a reliable alternative to timber, with options tailored to suit different mine sites.
